Thanks SO MUCH for helping everyone, I think I have a shot at this... I think it's now kind of up to DailyMotion/MTV from here out... They just posted this:
The winning video will be determined by 25% creativity/originality, 25% fit-to-theme, 25% humor, and 25% audience appeal (collectively, the “Judging Criteria”).As far as the criteria goes... I think my video corners a good amount of those qualifications. It's completely different than any other movie parody in the contest, it takes the theme of the movie and parodies it, it seems to get a decent laugh, and a lot of you voted for it. So, I would like to say that I think, collectively, we have a darn good chance with the judging criteria.
Thank you all again. I will get a new video done for your viewing enjoyment and brain... something... very soon.

Well, the main competition in the MTV Nomination running dropped out today (or maybe last night, I don't know). If only Hillary would do the same.
But the point is... that video is gone. Unless they are plotting something... which I don't know, does it even matter? All their votes are erased because they took their video down.
Anyway, everyone:
we might have done it. I mean, that doesn't mean voting my video a 5/5 is something people who haven't done yet shouldn't do. Because everyone should and can by going to
petercoffin.com/mtv and following the instructions there. Because every inch I'm ahead - to me - says "this guy has a lot of people that want him to get this."
Which I really think is true. I get the sense a lot of you actually care. Thank you all.

Alright guys, I am sending this to all on the
petercoffin.com-munity, posting it as a bulletin on MySpace, and will be saying it like crazy to everyone I come into contact with who helped with this MTV Nomination thing:
Thank you all SO damn much. You guys have really came through. Seriously, I think my Bourne Ultimatum parody seriously has a shot at getting nominated for an MTV MOVIE AWARD. Me! An idiot! Some loser who spends his free time making nonsense without the assistance of professionals. No fancy stuff, like a budget, is involved. It's just me, a computer, a camera, and my brother Tyler (when I need a cameraman/videographer). If I get nominated, he's going to be coming along and we are going to turn whatever town the awards are in upside down using only weirdness and audio/video equipment.
Anyway, all the people who got involved have seriously rose to the occasion with this. I seriously am amazed at the response. It's great to know there are people out there that want to see some completely independant silly stuff get some recognition. It's also nice to know there are people out there that like my stuff. As much as I hate calling what I do "art" (because "art" seems to be so damn pretentious, especially when refering to comedy, but no one has come up with a not-pretentious term for it yet), when an "artist" makes stuff they think people aren't going to get or like and people get it (and like it) - that is the ultimate high in my book. It's awesome.
I also really want to thank
John Jay for supporting the cause by having me on his radio show to hype the thing around Southwest Michigan. Anyone who can listen to him SHOULD. Very funny guy.
You are all awesome. Thanks for going to petercoffin.com/mtv. Thanks for voting for my video. And to all those that didn't, the contest isn't done until the 11th. And voting might continue until after that. Who knows?

Yo everyone. I really want to thank everyone who has participated in the campaign to get me nominated for an MTV Movie Award. I think we're almost there. I really think so.
If it gets even only 10 more 5/5 votes, I think it's cinched. I think it would be mine. So I'm not going to get long-winded and I'm not going into rhetoric, but rather I'm asking you that if you've ever enjoyed a video I've made, please go to petercoffin.com/mtv and help out with this.
This could seriously be what makes this into my job. That would RULE.
